In Conqueror's Blade, heroes can equip various Weapons. Weapons, armour, and mounts together comprise the equipment that a hero brings with them to battle.

Overview[]

Heroes fight personally on the battlefield using their weapons. A hero's weapon determines the weapon skills they use, the style of their play, and the armour they can equip. Weapons can be further customized with reforging and runes. Like all hero equipment, unbound weapons can be bought and sold on the market, and weapons are stored in either the player's inventory or personal storage.

Categorization[]

Weapon Types[]

All weapons fall into one of the following weapon types:

Each weapon type has a set of weapon skills associated with it, which can be reconfigured in the Skills tab of the Character page accessible outside of battle (default key P).

Armour Classes[]

Weapon types are additionally subdivided into weapon weight categories, as follows:

Weight Weapons
Light Bow, Chain Dart & Scimitar, Dual Blades, Short Bow
Medium Musket, Nodachi, Pike, Spear
Heavy Glaive, Longsword & Shield, Maul, Poleaxe, Shortsword & Shield

A player cannot equip a weapon while using armour heavier than its class. For example, a player cannot equip a Bow while using heavy armour, but can equip a Poleaxe while using light armour.

While outside of battle, attempting to equip a weapon while using any piece of armour heavier than its class will automatically dequip the armour, while attempting to equip any piece of armour heavier than the armour class of the currently equipped weapon will automatically dequip the weapon. During battle, weapons with an armour class lighter than the heaviest piece of armour equipped will not be available during pre-game selection or at supply points.

Weapon Skills[]

All weapon types have a corresponding set of weapon skills. Weapon skills can be customized in the Skills tab of the Character page (default key P). Up to 4 skills can be chosen.

Players can also choose to go into battle unarmed. In this case they will not be able to make any attacks or use any skills.

Weapon Skill Points[]

Most weapon skills (excepting those of the Maul and the Pike) can be upgraded using Skill Points. Weapon skill upgrades can increase stats and grant new effects; see the specific weapon type pages for more details.

Skill Points can be obtained from the following means:

  • Skill points are obtained from all battles, including all matchmade PvP battles and all matchmade PvE gamemodes.
  • Skill points are also obtained from using the following consumable items:
    • Scholarly Text
    • Campaign Journal
    • Magistrate's Memoirs

Other Skills[]

The type of weapon chosen also determines the normal attack animations, the secondary action taken, the hero's block, and the skills and attacks they can use while mounted. Some weapon types also carry passive abilities, e.g. the Nodachi's Bloodbath mechanic. Unlike the weapon skills above, these skills cannot be configured.

Weapon Stats[]

Every weapon has piercing, slashing, and blunt damage and armour penetration stats depending on the capability for their weapon skills to inflict these types of damage. For example, Maul weapon skills can only deal blunt damage, so accordingly all mauls only have blunt damage and blunt armour penetration listed, and have no piercing or slashing damage or armour penetration listed. On the other hand, the Spear is capable of dealing all 3 types of damage and so all spears have all 3 types of damage listed.

Bonus Stats[]

Weapons can also have bonus stats. These bonus stats range from additional damage or armour penetration of their listed types (e.g. a Maul can gain bonus blunt damage but not bonus piercing damage) to critical damage value & critical defence to any of the various attribute points. Bonus stats can be rerolled at the Artificer's Forge.

Prefixes[]

Certain weapons have or can gain prefixes which add bonus stats or increase base stats. Weapons with prefixes will have their name altered to include that prefix, e.g. a Limb Lopper can drop as an 'Honoured Limp Lopper', with the 'Honoured' prefix signifying that it has extra bonus stats.

Weapons crafted using a rare or epic schematic can gain the 'Reforged' prefix when reforged, which increases their base stats. Weapons that do not use such schematics are not eligible to gain this prefix.

Other weapons dropped from matched battles will always drop with a prefix, which confers additional bonus stats. These weapons include:

Note that none of these weapons are classed as either a Pike or a Chain Dart & Scimitar. All of these weapons are not obtainable through crafting; they are obtained rarely as drops from matched battles only. These weapons are also all fixed to a single rarity which is either rare or epic, and do not gain any bonus stats except those granted by their prefixes. Bonus stats granted by prefixes can be for stats that the weapon does not normally possess (e.g. a Skullsmasher can gain the 'Neophyte' prefix which grants slashing armour penetration and piercing damage, neither of which it usually possesses). The list of valid prefixes is as follows:

Acquisition[]

Each weapon type has a particular way of being unlocked:

  • The Glaive is given for free as the starter weapon type for all players.
  • The Maul, the Pike, and the Chain Dart & Scimitar are unlocked via their respective season challenges.
  • All other weapon types can be unlocked for 5 skill points upon reaching level 15.

Weapons themselves can be obtained from a variety of sources:

Although players can obtain weapons of any type regardless of whether they have unlocked it or not, players must unlock a weapon type before being able to equip weapons of that type.

Durability & Repairs[]

Like all hero equipment, weapons have durability, represented as a number. A weapon's durability decreases during battles and can be repaired at a rate of 150 bronze per point of durability. Repairing weapons in this manner restores its durability to its maximum but also decreases its maximum by 1/4 of the difference between the former maximum durability and the former durability.

When a weapon is at a low enough durability, it becomes damaged. Damaged weapons lose a large portion of their stats. If the maximum durability is low enough, further repairs will not bring the weapon back to its undamaged state. Certain weapons can be reforged to reset both their durability and maximum durability to a freshly crafted state.

Runes[]

Like armour, weapons can each be equipped with up to 3 runes totalling up to 5 rune power. For more details, see the runes page.

Reforging[]

Certain weapons can be reforged, which increases their stats (for some weapons) and offers a chance to reroll their bonus stats. For more details see the reforging page.

Tips[]

  • In general the usual weapon of choice for any weapon type is the one crafted using the Rare Weapon Schematic. Players who wish to use a better weapon can use the epic schematic for that weapon type.
