Retiarii are a golden era javelin melee infantry unit.

In-Game Description

Blood and flame hold no meaning without the rules of war. These once veteran warriors were thrown into the Colosseum much to their confusion. In reckless abandon, they shrugged off their shields and armor and took up the trident. Yet, they simply could not lay down their javelins.

They lost everything. Free of what once bound them, they reveled in the slaughter and quickly gained fame for their martial prowess. A new beast had entered the Colosseum, mad souls of Barcyan with nowhere else to call home.

Acquisition

Retiarii can be unlocked via the Season XIII: Colosseum seasonal challenges. As the season's golden era unit, Retiarii require the Myrmillones to be unlocked (i.e. 3rd stage of the Myrmillones seasonal challenges completed) before progress can be made on their seasonal challenges.

Unit Traits

Trait	In-Game Description
▲ [Long Shot]	This unit can throw heavy javelins in a straight line that penetrate through multiple enemies and greatly reduce their Block.
▲ [Mark of Death]	Attacks from this unit can give the enemy the Mark of Death. An enemy so marked inflicts less damage on this unit. When using a skill to attack enemies with the Mark, it is removed and damage is dealt based on a percentage of the enemy's health.

Formations

Dispersed	The unit spreads out a little to lessen the damage from ranged attacks.
Block	A block made up of staggered lines is an ideal formation for throwing javelins.

Trident Charge

Base Cooldown: 5s

The Retiarii charge at the nearest enemy with their tridents and unleash a brutal strike. Damage taken is reduced by 10% while the skill is active. Extra damage is dealt when the target has Mark of Death. If the target does not yet have Mark of Death, then it will be applied.

Spearfishing

Base Cooldown: 30s

The Retiarii use their trident to unleash three attacks on a nearby enemy. The final strike will send the enemy flying. Damage taken is reduced by 15% while the skill is active. Extra damage is dealt when the target has Mark of Death. If the target does not yet have Mark of Death, then it will be applied.

Doom Throw

Base Cooldown: 15s

The Retiarii throw their javelins as directed. Enemies hit will be afflicted by the Mark of Death.
