~ In-game Description for the Pike

Pike is a weapon class in Conqueror's Blade.

Overview[ | ]

The pike is a long polearm which grants its users excellent mobility. Pike users are extremely maneuverable and chain low cooldown skills to outfight the enemy. However, the pike is a complicated weapon to use and is less effective against enemy units than many other weapon classes.

Acquisition[ | ]

The pike can be unlocked via the Season VIII: Dynasty season challenges. There is no prerequisite for beginning the season challenges for pike, but like all season challenges, progress on the season challenges for pike can only be made while its season is selected.

Pikes are classed for medium armour. This means that pike users can wear any mix of light or medium armour and still be allowed to use a pike. However, it is recommended for players to use the heaviest armour they can equip for the additional defenses.

Tips[ | ]

Skill Selection[ | ]

  • As the pike offers fewer weapon skills than most other weapons, the only choice in skill selection is between the paragon skills Cold Dragon and Green Dragon. Of these skills, Green Dragon is by far the stronger skill, as it ignores collision with enemies, offers a dash, and deals massive burst damage against units and heroes alike. In contrast, Cold Dragon forces users to run forward for its duration, deals a weaker control effect against heroes, and has somewhat mediocre damage.

Equipment & Attribute Builds[ | ]

  • A pike user can either put all attribute points into agility to boost damage or all attribute points into toughness to boost defences (or a mix thereof). In general players tend to prefer putting attribute points into toughness to better deal with enemy burst damage while still maintaining a good damage output themselves.
  • When reforging a pike, it's advised to aim for piercing damage and piercing armour penetration as bonus stats first and foremost.
  • The Carnifex armour set is the standard armour choice for musket players, being the medium armour set that uses the Rare Armour Schematic. The Frostcloud set offers lackluster effects and so players are advised to focus on obtaining an excellent Carnifex set.
