Ironcap Archers are a chivalric era archer ranged infantry unit.
In-Game Description[]
The archers of the Provincial Army (aka the Ironcaps) provide reasonable ranged support good enough for fighting most peasant uprisings or bandit raids. They have some ability to fight in melee combat, but should avoid cavalry at all costs. They are trained well enough that they can target particular areas, which allows them to break up oncoming enemy units, or thwart a retreat by firing into an area the enemy is expected to move through.
Acquisition[]
Ironcap Archers are obtained for free alongside Ironcap Swordsmen and Mace Sergeants upon completing the initial tutorial battle in Conqueror's Blade. For players who began playing before the change which added Ironcap Archers to the new player rewards, Ironcap Archers can be acquired from the ranged infantry unit tree, where where their node costs 2000 honour to unlock after prerequisites. This cost can be partially or fully defrayed using 20x Ironcap Archer's Signaculum.
