Fortebraccio Pikemen are a heroic era polearm melee infantry unit.

In-Game Description

The Fortebraccios ("strong arms") take their name from a famous captain and soldier of fortune, Mastino Fortebraccio whose reputation was such that his name became synonymous with these pikemen. This unit should form the foundations of any defence against cavalry or to a lesser extent, infantry.

Acquisition

Fortebraccio Pikemen can be unlocked via the Season III: Soldiers of Fortune seasonal challenges. As the season's heroic era unit, Fortebraccio Pikemen require the Condottieri Guards to be unlocked (i.e. stage 2 of the Condottieri Guards seasonal challenges completed) before progress can be made on their seasonal challenges.

▲ [Swamp]	Increases damage dealt to cavalry by 26%, and reduces an attacked cavalry unit's movement speed by 60% for 2 seconds.
▼ [Encumbered]	This unit is burdened with heavy equipment and thus cannot push siege engines or climb ladders.
