Exotics are a class of items obtained via labour at Resource Sites or purchased from Trading Posts. Exotics are primarily used alongside Resources to produce Materials, and are also a requirement to fulfill certain Fief Quests.

Exotics are largely extracted from Resource Sites. Each type of resource site has 2 uncommon exotics associated with it. Unlike resources, which are guaranteed to be extracted from resource sites, exotics are acquired only randomly and in smaller amounts. Exotics that are of rarity at rare or above are deemed Regional Exotics. These exotics are tied to a specific region, and may be extracted from a certain resource site type only within that region. Exotics may also be acquired from Trading Posts. All exotics can be bought and sold on the market.

Exotics are used to make various Materials and Unit Kit. Uncommon materials do not require exotics, any rare material will require a single specific uncommon exotic, and any epic material will require 2 different specific exotics. Exotics used in unit kit are more varied, and some unit kit requires materials which in of themselves require exotics. Exotics may also be bought and sold on the market.
