Demesne Javelineers are a chivalric era javelin melee infantry unit.

In-Game Description

While the javelin or war dart is easily outranged by the cheapest bow or gun, it is an easy way to give a lord's retainers an edge against heavily armoured opponents such as knights fighting on foot. Javelineers wear cheap, light armour and carry thin wooden shields, making them good for adding some short-range punch to a formation without costing too much.

Acquisition

Demesne Javelineers can be unlocked from the Melee Infantry unit tree, where they cost 2000 honour after unlocking their prerequisites. This cost can be partially or fully defrayed using up to 20x Demesne Javelineer's Signaculum.
