Crossbowman is a unit type in Conqueror's Blade.
Overview[]
Crossbowmen are ranged infantry units which attack using crossbows. Crossbowmen are capable of stopping charging cavalry with their bolts, and different crossbowman units have different abilities to help them stand out. For example, Demesne Crossbowmen and Demesne Arbalists can be boosted as retinues for the Chevaliers, Pavise Crossbowmen have shields to protect themselves from enemy ranged fire (rare amongst ranged infantry), and Rattan Marksmen can liberally apply poisons to bypass enemy defensive stats.
