Chevaliers are a golden era lancer cavalry unit.
In-Game Description[]
The most prestigious heavy cavalry west of the Greenpeaks. Each warrior is born to the nobility, and lavishly equipped with weapons and armour made by guildsmen. While they are commonly seen as the most arrogant men alive, not even their enemies would begrudge them their reputation for extraordinary bravery in the face of impossible odds. Each company of knights have brought with them their own feudal retainers, varying in quality from ill-armed peasants to trained bands of crossbowmen and light cavalry.
Acquisition[]
Chevaliers can be unlocked via the Season XI: Paragons seasonal challenges. As the season's golden era unit, Chevaliers require the Banner Guards to be unlocked (i.e. 3rd stage of the Banner Guards seasonal challenges completed) before progress can be made on their seasonal challenges.

Trait | In-Game Description |
---|---|
▲ [Retinue Company] | Chevaliers can take one of four different units into battle as their personal retinue, without increasing the Leadership cost requirement. On the battlefield, the Chevaliers and their retinue will operate as a single unit. If Chevaliers use their Assault order: - Melee cavalry and infantry retinues will charge along with the Chevaliers. - Ranged infantry will follow the Chevaliers, while firing at the enemy. If Chevaliers use Lance Thrust: - Melee cavalry will rush the enemy. - Melee infantry will gain an attack speed buff. - Ranged infantry will stand in place and shoot more rapidly. |
▲ [Knightly Arrogance] | The lower the tier of an enemy unit, the more damage the Chevaliers deal to them. |
▲ [Chargers] | After ordering a charge, the unit's charging damage and speed will increase by 20% for every 1.5 seconds it is charging, up to a maximum of three times. |
▼ [Striking Cavaliers] | Chevaliers have a strong resistance to thermal weapons and take less fire damage. Ranged damage taken while using Assault is increased by 15%. In melee combat, the warhorse is not easily blocked and can knock down foes. |
